In 2007, MAVD led the acquisition of 1900 Wazee Street and immediately orchestrated a major renovation of this three-story historic brick and timber office property, including major structural reinforcement. The work, completed while the property was occupied, was extremely successful, leading to consistently high occupancy, and escalating rents. The Wazee Exchange Building became the location of choice for businesses that wanted historic character, but also required first-class management and modern features. Located in historic Lower Downtown Denver, 1900 Wazee Street boasts terrific amenities. The building is within walking distance to Coors Field, Union Station, the 16th Street Mall, RTD transit hubs, and the dining, shopping, and entertainment that make LoDo among the most popular destinations in Colorado.
Following a recapitalization with an institutional equity investor in 2013, MAVD led the sale of the property in 2016. Outstanding returns were provided to all the investors in this property throughout MAVD’s involvement.
