Rob Aldrich
President
Rob joined MAVD in 1995 and guides the firm’s investment, development, financing and asset management activities. Since 1995, Rob has led MAVD’s $100,000,000+ asset growth, including the development and leasing of over 400,000 sq. ft. of office and retail space plus residential and commercial land ventures covering more than 800 acres. Before joining MAVDevelopment, Rob held positions in New York, Chicago and Detroit in the field of real estate finance with GE Capital, Balcor/American Express, and private real estate investment bankers. In his 20-year career, Rob has closed nearly $1.5 billion of real estate transactions.
Rob has taught real estate finance courses at the University of Michigan. His past and current service includes the Board of Directors of the Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authority (former Chair), Plymouth Financial Corporation, the Washtenaw County Economic Development Corporation, the Ann Arbor YMCA (Executive Committee), and the Ann Arbor Area Chamber of Commerce. Rob is a licensed real estate broker and Member of Ann Arbor Board of Realtors, Building Owners and Managers Association, and the Urban Land Institute. Rob earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
