Rob drives the company’s strategic direction, including all investment and development. Over the last two decades, Rob has led MAVD’s substantial growth in Ann Arbor and the company’s 2006 geographic expansion into the Front Range of Colorado. Rob’s keen understanding of market dynamics and capital structure, combined with his focused and disciplined approach, have established MAVD as a market leader in both Michigan and Colorado. Under Rob’s leadership, MAVD has acquired and developed projects representing more than 3 million square feet of office space, and 1,000 acres of land, valued at more than $1 billion.
Before joining MAVD in 1995, Rob held senior management positions with GE Capital and Balcor/American Express, and with private investment bankers, in New York, Chicago, and Detroit. Rob has also served as Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Michigan where he taught graduate-level courses in real estate finance.
Rob earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the College of Literature Science and the Arts at the University of Michigan and his master’s degree in real estate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Jeff oversees MAVD operations, including all asset and property management, leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, development, and third-party advisory services in Michigan and Colorado. With responsibility for the wide variety of transactions at MAVD, Jeff has a hand in both the strategic and practical elements of MAVD’s business.
Before joining MAVD in 2008, Jeff provided management, investment, and brokerage services for private investment firms, and was a third-party commercial broker for both boutique and global brokerage houses. With more than 30 years in commercial real estate, he has worked with all property types and transactions in multiple urban markets.
Jeff graduated with distinction from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance and marketing.
Dan directs the financial operations of MAVD. His responsibilities include corporate and property-level reporting, financial modeling, budgeting, and regulatory compliance. With over 35 years of experience in accounting and financial management, Dan has implemented systems and controls at MAVD that ensure the highest level of client confidence and satisfaction.
Before joining MAVD in 2012, Dan held senior management positions at national and global real estate investment and development firms, including the largest private office developer in the country. Dan is a Certified Public Accountant.
Dan earned his bachelor’s degree with distinction in business administration with a concentration in accounting, and his master’s degree with distinction in business administration with a concentration in international finance, both from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
Greg oversees development and construction activity for MAVD. He has over thirty years of real estate project development experience, including managing engineering and architectural design, performing constructability reviews, securing project entitlements, qualifying and selecting contractors, preparing detailed estimates and proformas, and managing construction activity.
Before joining MAVD in 2019, Greg held various senior management positions with construction companies, real estate developers, publicly traded corporations, and engineering consultants managing complex multi-million dollar office, commercial, industrial, and retail development and construction projects in over thirty states and Canada.
Greg earned his BS in Civil Engineering and MBA, both with high distinction, from the University of Michigan, has been a registered Michigan Professional Engineer since 1996, and earned his Legacy LEED AP certification in 2008.
Gerard oversees all property service, construction, and maintenance for MAVD. His broad expertise and hands-on experience bring a level of sophistication to every MAVD property and project – qualities that are essential to implementing and maintaining the state-of-the-art commercial building systems that distinguish MAVD properties.
Gerard joined MAVD in 2008, bringing nearly 25 years of experience in construction, maintenance, and real estate ventures in private and municipal sectors. Gerard holds a Contractor License and HVAC/EPA Universal Certification.
Danielle receives and processes invoices, ensures vendor insurance compliance, and assists the property management team in Ann Arbor.
She joined MAVD in 2015, bringing experience from the hospitality and housing industries. Danielle attended classes at Eastern Michigan University and Baker College in Michigan.
Terrill joined MAVD in 2018, eager to learn all aspects of building maintenance and operations and has proved to be an asset to our Michigan team. He is involved in general carpentry, painting, drywall repairs/finishing, plumbing and light electrical.
Prior to joining MAVD Terrill started his own cleaning business, which he continues to operate. He enjoys spending time with his son and the rest of his family in his free time.
Terrill’s easy-going personality blends easily with our tenants and the MAVD staff. His hardworking spirit is in complete alignment with the service that MAVD strives to provide in all our buildings.

Caroline helps run the Colorado property management division of MAVD. Her several years of commercial and residential property management experience are of great benefit in overseeing the Colorado operations. Caroline works closely with tenants, vendors, and ownership to ensure quality work through completion. She is dedicated to providing excellent and responsive service.
Before joining MAVD in 2018, Caroline worked for Newmark Knight Frank, a global real estate company. During her several years there she gained real world knowledge in commercial real estate property management and accounting. Caroline helped manage medical office, office, and retail buildings. Most recently, she had a portfolio of office buildings totaling approximately 500,000 sq. ft. to streamline the management/engineering team, tenant improvement projects, and budget preparation.
Caroline graduated Cum Laude from the University of Colorado and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Marketing. She also holds a Colorado real estate brokers license and a LEED Green Associate designation. Caroline enjoys the Colorado lifestyle including hiking, skiing, cycling, and camping with her son Ethan.
Jeff oversees property service, construction, and maintenance for MAVD in CO. He has broad commercial property management experience including with Wagner Equipment, Caterpillar, and St. Anthony Hospital. Responsibilities included building maintenance, HVAC, garage door/crane repairs, and other equipment monitoring and maintenance for their five-building campus.
Additionally, as Power Plant Operator, Jeff was responsible for overseeing the successful operation of the entire St. Anthony Hospital facility, as well as Ortho Colorado Hospital, including facility equipment, and coordination with associates, contractors, and emergency teams.
Jeff is a native of Colorado and enjoys the outdoors by motorcycle, and spending time with family.
